Locals Only
Inspired by the photobook "locals only" which shows photopraphs of california skateboarding from 1975-1978 taken by Hugh Holland, I created these four paintings. Although I decided to paint them without their skateboards, they are still recognizable as parts of a subculture which is not only because of their looks. It´s more about the attitude and the freedom they exude.
